I like watching sea turtles on television and recently enjoyed watching them on a relaxing TV channel This relaxing nature station has sounds of waves of the ocean and birds chirping and singing. This past week I caught sea turtles underwater which inspired me to create this card.

Hello Friends!
I think it’s safe to say the Christmas season is behind us, and coming up is Valentine’s Day. You will occasionally see Christmas cards posted as I gradually complete them throughout the year. On Thursday you will see my first Valentine’s Day card.
I hope you found time to relax this weekend and are ready for a new week ahead. I worked this past weekend. As well, I finished The Housemaid, a psychological thriller by Freida McFadden. There are three books in this series and I’m anxious to start book two. Since I don’t have it yet I started another psychological thriller. If you like mysteries of any kind, I highly recommend The Housemaid. You’ll never see it coming!
On Friday I did some prepping for this Saturday’s Sale-a-Bration workshop/stamp-camp and Sandy, my handy assistant, cut and put kits together as well. This has freed me up to work on other projects. Another girlfriend is coming over tomorrow and together we will work on our Stampin’ Up! projects and cards. She’s bringing show-and-tell which always has me blown away. I’ll be like, “why didn’t I think of that”? LOL
TUTORIAL
- Cut a card base out of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score down the middle to create your A2 size card
- Cut designers series paper (DSP) to 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Follow the tutorial for Variegated/Panoramic Card
- Mat each strip (optional)
- Stamp out Sea Turtle on coloured paper (I used a watercoloured background paper)
- Place turtle on the DSP using Dimensionals
- Add a Sentiment
Please note that I used Thoughful Journey DSP which has retired and is no longer available on the Last Chance list.
TIP: Look at your DSP at different angles to see the possibilities. Above you see an under the ocean background when it is really an open field of grass
