Simply Zinnia in Boho Blue

Simply Zinnia is proving to be a hit with so many of us stampers. I purchased the suite which includes beautiful Designer Series Paper.

Hi fellow stampers! Are you in love with the new Dotted Circles embossing folder like I am? The 3D on this embossing folder really packs a punch. Just look at the dots.

This is one of the cards for my two June classes. The masking technique was taught. When the mask was lifted, stampers were in awe of their results.

To obtain the look of a blue background surrounding the Zinnia, a Zinnia was stamped onto a sticky-note and then it was fussy cut. The cutout was placed on top of the Zinnia that was stamped onto the white circle. Using a small blending brush, Boho Blue was blended around the sticky-note. Next, the Zinnia was coloured with Colouring Blends. Ribbon and gems were added, and finally the sentiment.

I love flowers and love to garden, but I live in an apartment. Our trailer is situated on a friends generous land out in the country, and there are some over grown garden beds. While on vacation this week, I will be working on those gardens, and will plant hostas and other annuals and perennials.

It’s going to be a very busy work vacation, as we are replacing the flooring in our traile, but I’ll still get in lots of free time for gardening, knitting and reading. Do you have any mystery/crime authors you recommend? Some of my favourite authors are Ruth Ware, Shari Lapena, Lindwood Barclay, Brad Meltzer. My passion for political thrillers is feed by author Jeffry Archer. Back in 2004, when I saw him interviewed on Good Morning America, I began reading his books. Tell me your hobbies/authors.
