Reindeer Fun is a great stamp set for both old and the young. This bundle is a delight. For a little more fun I used my set using the rocker card technique.
Hi Friends,
Well, it’s November 25th and the clock is ticking;. In exactly 4 weeks it will be Christmas Day. WOW! These past two weeks have been a roller coaster ride for me, emotionally. My 39 year old daughter has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Thankfully it appears they found it early and the prognosis is good but fingers crossed, prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated.
On the upside Stampin’ Up! has some exciting things coming in January. There will be a new mini catalogue coming as well as Sale-a-Bration and an awesome Start Up offer to join, so stay tuned for further details.
Preparations for the holidays are in full swing. Baking for my guests have been put on the back burner so that I can bake up a storm for my daughter to hand out goodies, as a thank you to the doctors and hospital staff–all who have been so good to her. Thanks to my dear friend, Vera, for adding to my bag of baking.
My Christmas tree has been up since November 1st. Whew, too early you say? Let me fill you on a well-known fact around here. I am the queen of Christmas! Not only do I celebrate for the birth of Jesus, I celebrate the joy of the holiday season of giving, buying that special gift for someone special, entertaining and being entertained. My awesome new white Christmas tree is so very pretty and delicate in pastel coloured decorations. There are more decorative items that appear almost daily. Don’t know where they all come from, must be the elves dropping by in the middle of the night.
Rocker Card Instructions
- Using the largest circle in Deckled Circles dies, cut out a white circle and score in half (approx. 2 3/8″)
- Using Deckled Circles dies, cut another circle, this time using the 8th circle from the top of the die set
- Using a embossing folder of your choice (I used Dotted Circles)
- Using the 2nd die from the top of the Deckled Circles dies, cut out Real Red cardstock and cut in half (approx 2 7/8″) and adhere to the front of the card
- Cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of Shaded Spruce. Place the die in the centre. Place the 8th circle from Deckled Circles, place that so it fits around the edge of the die. Die cut using your Cut and Emboss machine.
- To create the deer, the top of the deer was Pecan Pie, the middle die was Very Vanilla, but Basic Beige can be substituted, and the back of the deer die with antlers, was Early Espresso.
- Place the deer in the centre of the tree leaves as seen above
- Cut out silver bells, or whichever colour you prefer, and decorate your front as seen above. I added a Real Red ribbon to the top bell, using the die from Reindeer Fun
As always, enjoy your paper crafting and please share your projects with me. I enjoy seeing what other creative minds come up with, and I’m frequently inspired by them.
Happy Stampin’,

Oh that deer is just too cute all tucked in the evergreens, love him on the rocker card. The bells are a cute touch too.
Your white tree is so pretty, I like the little deer next to it too. I am hoping to get mine up after this weekend, we will see.
