Masculine cards are hard for me to make, but with the right combination of products, it can be done easily. Take the new plaid 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) as an example. With colours such as Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive in the DSP, a simple background, as seen below, will do the trick. Add a decorative stamp, or just a sentiment and whalaa–you’ve got a masculine card.

Hello Friends,
How is your week going? Were you tricked with any April Fool’s jokes yesterday? My granddaughter wore a wig to school in hopes that she could make her teacher believe she was a new student. She has her dad’s sense-of-humour for sure!
I’ve been playing around with acrylic paint over the past two weeks, and I plan to get into some painting classes. I’m going to try my hand at abstract art.
With respect to my card, my panel sizes are as follows:
- Green Plaid 2 10/16″ x 3″
- Green, Blue & Crumb Cake Plaid 2 10/16″ x 2 1/4″
- Dark Blue Plaid 1 1/4″ x 2″
- Green Checks 1 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
My tree stamp & sentiment are retired stamps, but any newer stamps will work. Change it up a bit, and add just a sentiment.
As always, enjoy your paper crafting and please share your projects with me. I enjoy seeing what other creative minds come up with and am frequently inspired by them.
Happy Stampin’, Beth

Great masculine card, I do like the plaids for sure, that is a cool tree too!
Usually hubby gets me every year with an April fools joke but with all that has been going on he decided to skip that this year.
