Easter Basket: A Creative Favourite

The Easter Basket set quickly became my favourite for Easter sweets among all the Easter stamp set I own. Whether you’re creating a bunny-themed card or a beautiful daffodil design, this set is the perfect choice. So much fun to create with!

Hi Friends

How was your Easter weekend? Did you spend time colouring Easter eggs with your children or grandchildren? Al and I hosted Easter dinner on Saturday, and it was so lovely to have family and friends join us. I also popped in to visit my one-month-old grandson and brought this card along. Yes, we welcomed a grandson on February 28th. His name is William, after my father, which fills my heart with so much joy!

After church on Sunday, while I was putting the finishing touches on my April card class kits, Al was busy in the kitchen baking cookies. He must have really enjoyed the time we spent baking together the week before, because this time he took it upon himself to make two batches–chocolate chip and peanut butter chip.

I would just love to hear how you spent your Easter weekend!

Card Details

  1. Create a white A2 card by cutting Thick Basic White cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, and score at 4 1/4″
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 4″ x 5 1/4″
  3. Cut out basket and stamped out images with your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine
  4. Die cut a basket in your colour choice. Here I used retired Tempting Turquoise. As well, cut out white strips for the basket weaving and scallop for top of basket
  5. Using retired Boho Blue, ink blend around the edges of the DSP and along the top of the basket. Bring down ink-blending so the scallop edging won’t cover up the shading effect
  6. Colour your image with Stampin’ Blends
  7. Weave the basket with the thin strips you cut
  8. Glue pieces together as seen above, or enjoy your own creativity!

As always, have the BEST time getting crafty! I can’t wait to see what you create, so please share your projects with me! Seeing your beautiful ideas and clever twists absolutely makes my day–and honestly, you inspire me more than you know!

Happy Stampin’

  1. This is really cute! I love the woven basket. Sounds like you had a great Easter. We spent time with an Easter Egg hunt for the grands, church with family and a family photo.
