Hello my dear friends!

Well, winter is here and here to stay. In my neck of the woods there has been a lot of rain, rain mixed with snow, and very cold temperatures. Just outside of town there has been white outs on the highway, and a ton of snow. We’ve had so many years of mild winters that I forgot what it’s like to have true winter weather again. My son has Maltese ancestry, and he showed me a video where they received so much hail that it looked like a ton of snow this past week. There were tractors scooping up an awful amount of hail. Last year my son and his wife spent their honeymoon in Malta (just off of Sicily) touring and meeting relatives. When I saw the video I said it was a good thing they didn’t honeymoon there this year. How has the weather been for you? My prayers go out to all those affected negatively by mother nature.

Tonight my dear friend, Vera, is coming over to work on cards along with me. I’m happy to say she is finished her chemotherapy and is up to coming over again. Thanks for all good thoughts over the past year.

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has two to three new kits each month? They are so fun to put together. You can follow the directions that come with the kit, but you can also cut up the envelopes to decorate your cards even more, and add your own spin like I did above. “Adopt a Pet” kit is so adorable that I bought two kits to send to my granddaughters for Valentine’s Day. Who says kits have to be just for adults?

Card Classes

Card classes have started up again. On January 12th we had fun creating cards showcasing winter/Christmas stamps and turning them into winter birthday cards. One of the cards was a gift card holder. My next class is on February 9th where we will be doing two masculine birthday cards and one Valentine card. Please contact me if you would like to attend.
